Subject: ICAN Aviation Chapter Marks International Accounting Day 2025 with Members' Interactive Session and Message of Professional Excellence
Lagos, Nigeria — The ICAN Aviation Chapter joins accountants across the world in celebrating International Accounting Day. The International Accounting Day is celebrated annually on November 10th to honour the accounting profession. The date commemorates the 1494 publication of Luca Pacioli's book, which detailed the double-entry bookkeeping system. The day recognizes the vital role accountants play in business, finance and the economy.
In a goodwill message to members and the broader professional community, the Pioneer Chairman of the ICAN Aviation Chapter, Ayodele Samuel Olatiregun, FCA, M.CIoD, ABR, HCIB, IAP, commended the dedication and professionalism of accountants whose diligence and accuracy “keep the world’s finances in balance and sustain the trust that underpins economic growth.”
Mr. Olatiregun noted that, “In aviation and beyond, accountants embody integrity, insight, and an unwavering commitment to accountability and excellence. As we celebrate today, let us take pride in the vital role we play in strengthening both the aviation and global community — ensuring transparency, fiscal responsibility, and sustainable progress.”
To commemorate the occasion, the Chairman and his Executive team will be hosting a virtual interactive session with her members on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM via Zoom, where members will engage in professional discussions and knowledge sharing on emerging trends shaping the accounting profession. Details of the session, including the topic, speaker, and access link, will be communicated to members through the Chapter’s official communication channels. The ICAN Aviation Chapter remains committed to advancing professionalism, ethics, and innovation within the aviation and global accounting ecosystem.
